David Mulvey

Dave retired from professional work in December 2024 after a career spanning nearly five decades in technology related roles in both the Retail and Finance sectors.

He began his career at Tesco in 1976 as a technology trainee and, during 11 years with the company, rose to become Head of Data Centres for the Tesco Stores Group. In this role, he played a leading role in introducing the UK's first Electronic Point of Sale system.

Dave subsequently worked in senior leadership roles for several leading high street banks developing an expertise in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and Operational Risk. He also founded his own Management and IT consultancy in 1996, delivering major projects for financial institutions in the City of London and overseas.

Throughout his career, Dave built and led high-performing teams and delivered significant change programmes. His passion for leadership and personal development led him to undertake training at Harvard Business School and Henley Management College.

Dave is committed to achieving results and making a tangible difference. Outside work, he enjoys football, rugby and golf and has coached children's football and rugby teams.

Retirement has done little to slow him down. He has now turned his energy and experience towards school governorship, continuing his commitment to supporting people and making a positive contribution to his community.
