Year 10 Work Shadowing Day

On the 2nd July, all of our year 10 students had the opportunity to work shadow an employer, to learn what it is like to work in specific industries, find out more about a specific job role and see what it is like to go to work for the day.
Students work shadowed family and friends in a wide variety or sectors including retail, engineering, construction, childcare, business, mechanics, animal care, and many more.
For those who were unable to find a placement, they completed virtual online work experience at home, via the Springpod platform. The feedback from our students has been very positive, and hopefully it will encourage them to start thinking about what they want to do at the end of year 11. It will certainly add to their CV and demonstrate to post 16 providers a range of skills. We want to thank all those parents, carers and friends of families who gave up their time to give our young people these fantastic experiences.
