Year 11 3D Design Trip

Students Shine at Glassblowing Workshop!
Our year 11 3D Design students recently took part in an exciting two-day glassblowing workshop at WorkInGlass, based in Hainault Forest Country Park and what an incredible experience it was!
Students engaged in hands-on glassblowing and fusing sessions, working directly with professional artists, including Jon Lewis, whose work has been exhibited at the V&A and Somerset House. Each student had the opportunity to create their own handblown glass ornament, as well as take part in creative tasks that supported their GCSE coursework.
Throughout both days, the students represented the school impeccably. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to learn were noted by every artist they worked with. The team at WorkInGlass were full of praise for how engaged and respectful our students were. They not only embraced every challenge but did so with creativity and confidence.
This workshop gave students a rare opportunity to learn specialist skills beyond the classroom and produce meaningful, high-quality outcomes for their coursework. We are so proud of what they achieved and look forward to seeing their final pieces when they are delivered.
Well done Year 11!
