Student Celebrates Swimming Success in Regional Competition
Our talented and hardworking student, Ethan, competed in the East Region Long Course Swimming Gala last weekend, securing a bronze medal in the Boys’ Open 200m Butterfly competition.
With many of the region’s finest young swimmers taking part, competition was strong. But Ethan rose to the challenge, achieving an impressive three personal bests, as well as the bronze medal. These results mean Ethan has increased both his county and regional ranking, and he will compete again next month for the chance to qualify for the National Championships.
Ethan’s dream is to take part in the Olympic Games, and he confirmed he trains for at least eight hours each week, in addition to competing regularly in competitions. Ethan said, ‘I always try to do the best I can and I never give up’.
Best of luck to Ethan in the forthcoming championship. In true Passmores style, Ethan is sure to continue to improve upon his best.
