Vive La France
A joyuex week-end was had by all as Passmores visited Paris to explore the beautiful city in a three-day language break. They took in the Seine, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre art gallery, among other traditional Gallic activities.
The chance to try out the lingua francais was taken by all, as the keen students - all French speakers - exercised their entant cordial towards our nearest neighbour.
Mme Corkery and Messiuers Farmerie (sic) and Butler oversaw the trip that ran from the early hours of Friday to late Sunday evening and reported that the students were a credit to the school.
Here are a sample of parental comments about the trip:
"I just want to thank you for making My daughter's weekend great .She had such a good time. You have given her the boost she needed."
"Just wanted to say thank you very much for organising and the other members of staff that went on the Paris trip, for giving your weekend up, as I know my son has certainly had the best time ever. His three days away have been fabulous, he even came home speaking French! He had great pleasure telling us all about the weekend and where and what you all did. Memories to treasure, its lovely.A huge thank you once again."
"Just want to say a huge Thank You to you, Mr Farmery and Mr Bulter for taking the time to organise such an awesome trip. My son seems to have had a great time and he has captured some great photos which he has shared with us while telling us about his time away.
We are truly grateful to you all for giving your time to organise these trips and to also give your precious "downtime" too. Enrichment trips like this one are important to the young adults and without the support of you the teachers they would miss out."
