Deck the Hall with Sounds so Jolly..!

What better place to try out your first steps in live music than amongst friends, at Passmores Music School Concert?

Budding superstars and former Passmores maestros delivered some stellar performances of solo music and ensemble carolling, to well and truly signal the start of the festive season.

Performers ranged from 8 years of age to...a bit older, with Mrs Harrod playing the sax to show her commitment to lifelong learning.  Ably supported by teachers Mr Foster, Mr Pearce and Miss Long, the evening was of its usual exceptional standard.

We were treated to music from Harry Potter, Demesseman and Kullak, along with traditional carols and tunes such as The Skye Boat Song and The Groovy Christmas Witch.  Ben Dewey's clarinet performance of La Forza Del Destino oozed class and set the bar for the evening nice and high.

Shunmathi Murugaiyan got to tinkle our flash new "ivories" on the baby grand in the hall, with Martha Mier's A Story from Long Ago.

Recent Christmas Number One, Hallelujah, was even brought into proceedings by Desni and Kirsty Shilling, both on guitar and vocals.

The evening was topped off by a sing-along carol-a-ganza and shameless plugs for the forthcoming Christmas Concert (19th December - sold out) and the Salvation Army's Christmas Bash in the school hall at 3pm on Sunday.
