I wish to raise awareness of an event being run at Davenant School on 14th November that may be of interest to parents and community members.  The evening is an information session on “how to become a teacher.”  The details are as follows and any questions can be fielded by Miss Byrd on s.byrd@passmoresacademy.com

Recruitment and Information Evening for Aspiring Teachers/Career Changers

Davenant Foundation School - Wednesday 14th November 6.30 – 9.30pm

 

Davenant works with a number of schools to provide teacher training through School Direct and elearn ITT blended learning (Maths, Science and MFL).

The event will provide information on routes into teaching and entry qualifications for both secondary and primary trainees. Middlesex University PGCE and Forest Independent Primary Collegiate will also be represented.

Those interested in attending, should have a good degree (1st, 2:1 or 2:2) in the subject they wish to train to teach in or a degree which has elements of that subject and the equivalent of maths and English and Grade C or above at GCSE level.
