I became a member of the Passmores Local Governing Body (LGB) when my grandson started at the school in September 2012. As a small family, we wanted him to know that we are committed to supporting him with his education.
My professional background is in Human Resources. Having had many years’ experience in both the business and public sectors as an Employee Relations Consultant, I am now a Chartered Fellow and Vice-Chair of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in East London. Since 2003, I have been the Managing Director of an HR services provider and qualified to advise in all forms of dispute resolution work. I have undertaken over 160 employment investigations which include discipline, grievance, safeguarding, whistleblowing and bullying and harassment. I am also trained in all aspects of discrimination by the Tribunals Service, where I am an Employment Tribunal Member and regularly undertake extremely complex discrimination investigations.
It is these skills and expertise in particular that I bring to the LGB at Passmores Academy. The most important value I hold is that of integrity. As a member of the LGB, I am enthusiastic and committed to supporting the school and aim to make a real difference to the organization.
