Hello, my name is Claire LeDain and I am the form tutor for Dragon 2. I have been teaching for 12 years and this is my second year at Passmores Academy. I grew up in Harlow and really enjoy working with the lovely young people in my community.

As we waved goodbye to our lovely Year 11s who left Dragon 2 in the summer, we felt sad to lose part of our family. However, we are now excited to welcome our new Year 7s into our form group and to get to know our newest members! We are a close group with friendships formed across all year groups. The senior members of our form each have younger students who they look after and check they are ready and equipped for the day ahead. They are always available to help and advise the younger students of D2 and I am very proud of how reliable and kind they are towards others and myself.

Since joining Dragon 2 at the beginning of last year, it has become obvious that the form is made up of a vibrant and close group of students who stand up for and help each other out, no matter how small or minor something may seem. A large number of the group represent the school in a range of both sporting and academic activities and some of the school prefects are from this form. We have a strong desire to shine and stand out from the crowd and with trustworthy relationships: success will always be on the cards!

I expect all students in my form to arrive on time, be dressed correctly and have all necessary equipment to allow them to have a successful day at school. These are the basics and are easy ways for us to collect Passmores Points that go towards the shield at the end of the year. It is great to be part of a school that rewards students for just doing the right thing and having high standards but more importantly, aspirations.

As your tutor, I should be your first point of contact so if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me either by phone or by email and I will do my very best to help or guide you in the right direction. I look forward to the year ahead and being part of your child’s journey through secondary education.
